In a huge coup for Cameron Ciraldo’s table-topping side, Galvin is tipped to make the move to Belmore effective immediately this week.
The news is a blow for Galvin’s current club Wests Tigers and also the Parramatta Eels who were the other club in the hunt for Galvin’s signature.
It is understood Galvin will join the club on a three-and-a-half year deal with the Bulldogs to pay the Tigers a transfer fee of $165,000 to secure an immediate switch. The lure of playing under Cameron Ciraldo proved a more decisive selling point than the higher salary offer tabled by Jason Ryles and the Eels.
Bulldogs boss Phil Gould previously ruled the club out of the race to sign Galvin but the potential to secure the 19-year-old this season sparked a stunning backflip.

The key factor that sparked Bulldogs backflip on Galvin as shock Origin fallout revealed
It’s a stunning decision from Galvin who turned down a $6 million offer from the Tigers. It sparked a fierce backlash from teammates resulting in Galvin iniatiating legal action against his club.
The Bulldogs have a bye next round meaning Galvin could suit up against the Eels on June 9.
Michael Ennis believes Galvin’s signing might mean a reshuffle with Stephen Crichton shifting to fullback.
“They will find room for him,” Ennis said on Fox League.
“My understanding is that we’re going to see a reshuffle to the Canterbury side. Now that might be Stephen Crichton going to fullback.
“Can Galvin play halfback?!” | 02:55
“Now if you remember when Crichton came to the club there was a lot of talk about him playing fullback.
“Then all of a sudden on their edges they started to get pulled apart so they pushed Crichton to the centre position to really stiffen up that edge. He’s done that, he’s been elite there.
“He is one of the best centres if not the best in the game. But there is talk that he may go to fullback.
“There’s also talk that Burton might go to centre as well. My understanding is Lachie Galvin will play in their team.”
Braith Anasta believes Reed Mahoney could also be on his way out of the club.
“I hear Reed Mahoney is a chance of being moved on. That’s not from any good source but I’ve heard that over the past 12 months,” Anasta said.
