The Gold Coast Titans have confirmed superstar fullback Keano Kini has signed a fresh multi-milliondollar extension, remaining at the club until the end of the 2030 season.
The 21-year-old was already contracted until 2026, however the Titans have moved quickly to ensure their rising star won’t be poached by rivals or NRL newcomers come November 1.
According to Code Sports, Kini’s five-year upgrade is one of the richest deals in the 18-year history of the Gold Coast club.

The young gun has reportedly joined the likes of Kalyn Ponga, Nathan Cleary and Titans teammate Tino Fa’asuamaleaui in becoming one of the NRL’s top earners.
Kini’s fresh contract is a huge show of faith from the Titans, with the No.1 currently sidelined due to a neck surgery that threatened to end his 2025 campaign prematurely.
“Keano is still only in the early stages of his NRL career, but he’s already showed that he’s capable of having a huge impact on games,” Des Hasler said in a statement.
“He’s already represented his country at an International level.
“Keano’s professionalism and attitude has made him both a valued and well-liked member of the club both on and off field.
“Family is very important to Keano and he and his partner have just welcomed their first child and it’s great that they’ll be able to continue to raise their family here on the Coast.”
Kini made his NRL debut in 2023, cementing himself as one of rugby league’s best upcoming talents in 2024 with a breakout season, winning the Titans’ best and fairest award.
The young gun also was handed a New Zealand Test debut in the 2024 Pacific Championships.
“We want to make this club successful on and off the field. That’s my number one goal,” Kini said to News Corp.

Kini is currently on the road to returning to the NRL, explaining he is hopeful that he will return to training in the coming months.
“Once the injury heals and bone fuses it’ll be stronger than it originally was,” he said.
“I have no doubt I’ll be back to my form. This time off has given me time to rethink my game.
“Hopefully I can do what the other great players have done and come back even stronger.”
