Roosters flyer Mark Nawaqanitawase has come up with an early favourite for try of the year and that doesn’t even do justice to his miraculous chip and chase stunner on one leg against the Bulldogs.

In the 68th minute with the Bulldogs leading 18-14, Nawaqanitawase looked to be tackled into touch by Matt Burton only to pop the ball on his right foot into the in-goal and ran around to score within inches of the dead ball line in a stunning play to give the Roosters the lead.
“Nawaqanitawase gets to the 10 and puts in a little chip kick and oh he has got it down in the corner,” Dan Ginnane said on Fox League.
“Did he stay in the whole way?”
Greg Alexander was gobsmacked that Nawaqanitawase was able to score in such a narrow corridor.
“Did he stay in the field of play?” Alexander said.
“Oh he can’t. Oh my god. How did he do that? Now has it touched the line? Oh no it hasn’t. What a try.
“That is a miraculous try. I can’t believe that just happened.
